Default 6speed pcm to automatic?
I was going to buy a 98 pcm off a manual.Can you tune it for a auto?I was scared to buy it till I checked.

Yes you can.
If you did not know, the '97-'98 LS1 PCM is not the same as the '99+.

Correct! The hardware for the 98 A4/M6 is the same-just software-we can help you out with that.

It can be done but you're better off to just buy the auto pcm and save spending more to have it reprogrammed

Spending more... Where? You Full Flash an A4 tune no big deal at all.

looking to get more info on this!!!!

My fiancee is buying a 98 z26 M6... i am putting a 4l60E into it..

So since its a 98PCM i can just "write entire" a 4l60E tune to it????

I have Hptuners... I tuned my 98 th400 Turbo TA (2bar SD)... i considered swapping pcms so i could tune the 4l60E in her car since mine has a RMVB th400 in it... but i have already converted it to a 2bar OS lol...

It would be great if i could just "write entire" an A4 tune over the M6 tune thats on the 98pcm....

Any help would be appreciated!!!!

You would need an A4 file licensed to do the full write and license the pcm. Why waste credits when He can just buy the right PCM in the first place?

You already have a licensed A4 file from your 98 so all you would have to do is license the M6 pcm and do the write entire.

No I wouldn't I use EFI LIVE one licence per PCM and that is all you ever pay.

So I guess you were gonna reprogram his pcm for free then? As I said in my first post just buy the one you need to save spending more for reprogramming.
