do i need a tune hello i have had my 99 camaro ss for about a year it has flow masters slp lid kn filter ported bbk ssi intake bbk 85 mm tb bump stop mod and granatelli maf have not started it yet sitting in my shop how important is it to get it tuned can i ru it safe without one
you might not need one.. but, the MAF might give you trouble. Get some dyno time and see where your AF is at... a stock tune can always be tweaked for more power. Just a matter of the $ you want to spend for dyno and tune time.

Is it an A4 or M6? The auto's tend to benefit the most when the cars are modded minimally. Properly tuned the car will feel more like what a sports car should with regard to the transmission settings. If it is a M6, turning off skip shift is always nice. A base tune now could get the car ready for future mods !CATS, !AIR, !EGR for example.
With regard to overall power, there won't / shouldn't be a huge gain if the car is running right to begin with.
Lastly, getting good baseline numbers now will let you know how much your future mods really gained, as opposed to just going by what the internet sez you should have.
