Default Help having problem with Edit on my home pc.
I had Edit installed on my home computer. I reciently setup a password in-order to get on to the computer. Now edit will not work. The program acts like it is going to open then does nothing.

Has anyone had this happen?

Please help.

Have you reinstalled Edit? Remember, you're using a Windows platform, so a problem doesn't have to make sense or be related to anything...

you mean WINBLOWS? just reinstall it. what OS are you using?

Did you create a "user" when you password protected windows? If so, windows might only be giving it persmissions to open if you are logged in as whatever you were before (possibly no-one).

Gotta love it

Per Ken with carputing version 1.21 will not work with Windows 2000 Service Pack 4. I will have to upgrade to version 1.3. Know telling how much this will cost me.

It will cost me $100 to get the upgrade. Looks like I won't be using edit for a while. You would think that if you knew there was a problem with version 1.2 and windows you would fix the problem and not charge people for the new upgrade. I mean we spent $1000 for a program that we can't use because there software doesn't like Windows 2000 Service Pack 4.

That's what I expected. I would ask if you've talked to him, but oh yeah, that's right, you can't contact him except via email. Does the upgrade do anything besides fix the problem, or is there a patch to fix it? I went to XP so many years ago, there wasn't even a product back then.

man, that's bullshit! i would think he would take care of that for you. not like 1.3 is all that much better. you could kill two birds with one stone and get the win XP home edition upgrade for $89 and have a better os too. just a thought.
