You will pass. All they do is plug into your computer. no dyno test or anything. You should be safe, as long as you have your o2 sims plugged in correctly and you do not have you "check engine" light on.

I think someone should make clamp-on tin cat look alikes. I'd buy a set for $25 to not have to worry and get that $15 emission without worrying or having a hookup.

yeah if u get the air, egr and rear o2s out of the computer it will pass in the computer. heck yeah i would like to have some fake cats to clamp on that would be sweet. it would pass visual. or u can get a band clamp, get a pic of the jet hot cats, and say they are inline, most inspectors are dumb lol

If you really wanna make something like that it's easy to do with heat shields, some nuts & bolts to hold the halves together, and the right sized clamps (or any tensioning device to hold the setup with force between the pipe and the shell).
I had one going but didn't bother to take it very far because the test center I've been going to for the past 10 years doesn't even do visuals (even on loping, louder than stock, smelly exhaust cars). It used to be, if you passed the sniffer, no questions were asked. Now that it's scan only for '96 and up, so long as you pass the scan, you're outta there. As of 1/1/04, they won't even let you take a sniffer if you fail the scan; you must pass the scan, and the scan only.
