new motor swap wont idle right, help?
im just about finished with my lq9 swap into my 2000 firehawk, the car turns over fine, it just wont crank until you give it some gas, same with the idle, i can keep it at a low idle with the throttle, but when i let off it dies, the motor is cammed, 248 duration and 578 lift on a 112 lsa. ive heard about possibly enlarging the hole in my throttle body valve, wondering if its a good thing to do. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Well to be honest, you are being stupid if your planning on driving it without a proper tune for doing so. That leads to more problems and money down the road...something at this point you don't have.
Be smart...wait until you have the funds to do it properly.

Yea bud, PLEASE listen to what these guys are telling you. That is a significant jump and cam size...you could very easily go lean and rattle the engine...game over. Then you'll have to start all over.
I KNOW how bad you wanna drive the thing, but sit on it a little longer until you can get her tuned properly. Not only will it be a much safer motor, but it will drive WAY better than it would if you drove it now. You will get a lot more enjoyment out of it.
Good luck with your build.
