LS3 Engine with 4L80E?

Doing a swap for a Customer, he bought a 08 LS3 Crate Engine and would like to use a 4L80E Trans, Painless Harness that he will most likely be buying is for a 4L60E... Any way to run a 4L80E?

the 80 plug is on the opposite side of the trans and further back... with an OEM harness it would be a problem, not sure about the painless harness though... and you still need to add a VSS cable or relay and wiring, depending on which way you go.

Good to know, Painless says it works with the 4L60 only so was just curious before ordering the harness

The real question is what kind of vehicle/ecm and if necessary tcm, is going to be used?

LS1 pcm will work

E40/TM42 will work

E38 and up will have issues.
