How do Mail order tune's work?
Ok, so I've been wondering, how does a mail order tune work...
After Full bolt ons and a cam, i would like to get a mail order tune...
Now.... What do i have to do?
Email the tuner my mods?
Will he email me back a tune?
How will i get the tune from my computer to my pcm?
Do i have to buyer other hardware to transfer from computer to pcm?
Any info regarding how mail order tunes work would be great....
Also, whos a good tuner to order from?

I sent my pcm to Frost with my mods and reflashed it sent it back. Seems like I had it back in a week. Got it back, installed it, let the car run for a few to learn the new program. Well worth the cash. He is a sponsor on here. If it's a radical mototr you will still want to have it dynoed. Good luck

You tell them what you have done and they will look at old files they have and get you in the ball park . Its a good idea if you do your own work and do headers and cam one day and need to drive the car around a little or dont want to or cant get the car dyno tuned for a while . Not the best but not bad.
The 2010 11 camaro guys have a nice little product where its like 400-500 bucks and you plug it into your car drive around and then send it back . Its like a large aeroforce so you can read all parameters but it also stores them . So you drive around and then send it in and they adjust your tune and you can do that over and over . Not a bad idea for some guys if they dont have a dyno tuner around them .

Vengeance mail ordered my tune, 98 trans am but with a gen 4 ls3 and huge cam headers and stuff. It ran really well but your car will thank you for the dyno tune. I used the mail order to get the car to them then they dyno AND street tuned it. Make sure your tuner does both when u get it tuned in person

Oh and if you go with vengeance, atleast in my case, maybe things have changed, they deducted the mail order cost from the dyno cost so it was very affordable. It's like 550 or 575(last year) for the dyno. You also get free retuned for life, just pay for dyno time! They are a sponsor here and respected as one of the best Lsx tuners in the world...

There was this thing before email called mail. You can send just about anything over mail, including computers jk
Unless you have something like HP Tuners, the odds are you will be physically mailing the ECM to the tuner, he will tune it and then mail it back.

Get HP Tuners and let Frost tune it, I have been working on my tune for a freaking year and finally gave up and had him do it. BEST decision I have ever made, I am still in process and the service is great, I trust him more than I would trust half the so called tuners I can drive my car to and have them tune it. If I could shake his hand and have a beer with him I would but he is a longggggg way from Texas!
