Tuning info for 98 boosted setups??
Im looking to see what all is required in the tune when you switch to a 2 bar map. I have done a search and have come up with a small list:
1) disregard Baro changes
2) rescale MAP.
3) divide main and backup VE table values. IE, 80kPa values get placed into 40kPa values, etc.
But what do you do about spark? Isn't it still going to only show 0-105kPa in the spark table? Also, by rescaling the MAP value, will you be able to log higher than 105kPa? I know this is old, but I couldn't find any solid answers on the above 2 questions.

You cut down the ve tables like you listed and rescale the MAP.
On a 98 I stay away from 2 bar as much as possible due to the lack of precise tuning you can do.
Think about swapping to a 99+ computer system?

I thought there wasn't a custom OS for 98's?
But what about spark?do you have to cut the spark in half too? I.e. You put the 80kPa spark in the 40 kPa etc? I mainly want to swap to the 2 bar so I can log boost. But still confused on how it'll log over 105kPa if I rescaled the ve's. I also thought about going to 99+ but swapping the entire harness and gauge cluster etc seems like a PITA.

Your not going to get many answers on EFILive on this site. It's a good OS, but it seems the majority use HPT. Talk to Lorenz@LSXpowertuning I know he uses EFI live a lot on LSx cars.

I've used EFI live and the custom 98 OS HPT. They are both 1/2 *** in my opinion for 2 bar SD in a 97/98 but I can get EFI live running better.
I would seriously consider wiring it for a 99+ computer. Night/day difference in tune quality.
