HPTuners PID to log Boost in PSI? Anyone?
I've been playing around with this for awhile and can't seem to get it to work.
I am running a 2bar SD tune on my car (2002 SS) and would like to be able to log and build histograms using a PID that will read boost in PSI and not KPA.
For some reason I cannot seem to get this to work no matter what I try. I've tried using the [PID.11-14.7] setup and that does not work. I also heard that you could use the ([PID.2333-101.3])/6.9 but I do not have a PID.2333 in my HPTuners 2.23 beta for some reason?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks ahead

Do you want the actual config file or just a log? I should be able to send you both to take a look at if you would like.
I've tried everything I've found on the HPTuners forums to get this to work but still haven't had any success so I figured maybe some of the LS specific people on here might be able to lend some advice.

1 atmosphere is 14.69 psi
1 atmosphere is 1.01325 Bar
1 atmosphere is 101.325 kpa
your vehicle resets atmosphere to 100 kpa everytime you turn on your key
which means that it doesnt care that sea level is 14.69
all it cares is 100 kpa is atmosphereric 0 wherever you are are at
100 kpa converted to psi is 14.503
its always 14.503 per 100 kpa...ALWAYS...

I need a gauge for that

Interesting, I didnt know the pcm reset it each time. When I set up my 3bar I set the slope and offset so it called 101kpa atmospheric. The same can be done with a 2bar, but not the factory setup since you dont have map sensor control. Even so, some might say 0.2psi is splitting hairs

The PCM doesnt reset. The Map sensor takes a quick shot of outside air every key start, which is how it can show 90kps one day and 102 the next. It does not just go to 100kpa for the hell of it.....

I can turn a car on here and it will fluctuate from 99 on a given day to about 102 on another day. In another town in my state, one day it showed 87 kpa. The guy I was talking to measured 4 vehicles with his scanner, they all showed the same.
I would def research anything you say with such certainty because saying that it happens every time no matter what is a pretty concrete statement.
Otherwise when you are tuning, you would be chasing your tail wondering why you are only seeing 95 Kpa on a nasty combo instead of your theoretical 100 every time.
If the computer system were that dumb, it would run like crap in alot of conditions and be no smarter than a normal carb.

Well then there is something wrong alot of the time. Barometric pressure is not steady all the time.
You do realize that when you see any baro reading on the news or published that it is corrected to sealevel right?

once your engine makes vacuum....you start to see less...
if you see 95kpa... then it means you have a restriction somewhere that makes 5kpa worth of vacuum at WOT.... meaning your engine is trying to pull in more air then it can get thru our shitty little openings
I'm 100% positive my 2001 Fbody was 100kpa every time I turned the key to the on position...
