Default LS1 TPS Problem

I have a problem with an 2002 SS Camaro that I haven't been able to figure out. The TPS will not return to 0% when running. I have adjusted the TPS to assure that my voltages are correct. I have .571v-.572v at closed poss. and 4.50v-4.51v at WOT. I've done a TPS relearn everytime. I checked all the gounds to the pcm (at the connector) and cleaned all gound points to the chassis and engine. I did have a high resistance issue at the TPS connector but I have repaired that issue by replacing the connector. Also I noticed that the return spring was weak so i contacted Wilson and they repaired that and upgraded the shaft bearings/ repaired the shaft due to a known issue on this particular TB. It has a FAST 90mm TB (which was manufactured by Wilson. All of these corrections have not corrected this issue. TPS will read any where from 0.4%-2.0%. I have noticed on tip in occationally the TPS will read 0% when running.

I've never run into this before. Any insight would be helpful. Thanks!

Also this is a higher mileage car..... 105,000

I'm assuming you have a scanner. If so with key on does the tps register full movement correctly?

.00 to .04 is ok on a TPS reading and if wilson repaired the return spring then you should not see a problem but make sure the gas pedal is not sticking or something liek that.

How about cable travel, or a problem with the cable itself not allowing it to come to a fully closed position. Maybe unhook the cable and blip the throttle and see how the idle is then, cable may be your problem.

Its not the cable, I have disconnected the cable and tried that.... the tps once opened when running returns anywhere from 0.4- 1.6.... wilson replaced the spring as well as the shaft bearings and modified the shaft due to known problems? The throttle body is essentially new even though it is an old fast 90....

i have also disconnected the alt. and belt just to make sure of any odd feed back issues, even though my voltage is fine, and it did not change anything....

Have you checked to see if you could close the throttle blade some by backing the set screw(left side of TB on cable cam assembly.) out?
