My buddy has a friend that bought efi live for his late model dodge deisel and of coarse he has extra credits. Will that efi live work on a LS1 Gas motor?

Yes it will, but tuning gas vs diesel is completely different.

Yeah its all the same software. I ordered mine from a diesel shop.

Edit: I wonder if the licenses are the same, because the place I got it from listed a GM version and a Cummins version.

Unless he bought the gm license as well as the dodge it will not work

It will work only if the FlashScan also has the GM option.

And you would need a GM cable for the FlashScan.

If he has the v2 with the dodge cable u will need the gm cable. When u buy the software u get 2 license. If he used one then u can use the other one. If not they r 125 bucks per license.

Where can we buy the gm cable?

Are we talking the cable that plugs into the OBD2 port on the vehicle?
Could we use my HP runners cable?

We just found another friend that has a 08 duramax.

He also has extra credits and I bet a gm cable!

Duramax can only be flashed if the FlashScan has the GM option, so yes he would have the GM option, so yes he can flash your GM gasoline vehicle.

Just to clarify:

EFILive FlashScan V2 cable/interface can be optioned with either or both of these options:
- GM (gasoline and diesel),
- Cummins (diesel only).

Yes, it plugs into the vehicle's OBD2 port.

It's not just a cable, but an interface to map between the PCM's serial bus and your laptop's USB port.


Do you have a HPTuners cable/interface...? If so then why don't you use it...?
