Default Settings for Bigger Injectors (EFILive)

I have some 60# @ 3bar injectors from FIC that I would like to install prior to putting on the turbo kit... I'm trying to knock out as many of the small things as possible first. My tuner is building me a tune for the injectors and turbo, but in the meantime I would like to adjust my tune for the injectors so I can still drive it around since it's my commuter.

FIC sent me injector data that they already scaled for 4bar for me. There is a note with the data that says if using a vacuum referenced FPR, use the first row of data for all rows for the IFR and Offset tables (B4001 and B3701). And then do I just copy in the other tables they sent which they labeled as "Injector Voltage Correction - B4002", "Min Pulse & B4004 Def Pulse - B4003", "Short Pulse Limit", and "Small Pulse - B4005"?

Is it that simple? Anything else to change besides the data they provide?

Thanks!

Yes, just copy and paste all there data in. It will get you close enough where it should fire up with the new injectors if you did everything correctly.

Will it be safe to drive using these settings?

My tuner will make the fine adjustments to the tune, and I'm guessing he will be starting with the same injector data because I sent the data to him already. I just want to put the injectors in soon before he will be done with the tune. I'm doing scan and tune by the way, so he is just emailing me a tune file for me to flash in.

I would log your fuel trims and see what they are. If they are within reason then your fine. If they are going crazy or maxing out (+-25%) then I wouldnt drive it.

Right, I'll be logging everything including LTFT's. Thanks for the reply

The data has something called "Short Pulse Limit" which is 2.5 msec. It does not say where is goes and the name they gave it doesn't match anything in EFILive.

And then should B4003 and B4004 be the same? The FIC data was vague on this.

Thanks!

I don't know efilive but in HPTuners under engine, fuel, general there is a spot to put your short pulse limit in.It says short pulse limit 3.921 which you would replace 3.921 with 2.5

Ah okay. In EFILive it's called Small Pulse Threshold {B4006}.
