I have an '00 T/A and the scan tool worked perfect on my buddies '02 Z06. Don't see why it wouldn't work on yours.

That's kinda like buying a Mustang and walking into a GM dealer and asking for 10K off a Vette because you previously bought a Mustang.

Sure the patches are free...but if they can find enough new features to add in new releases, and their customer support remains as good as it has been so far, owners will feel better about the upgrades. I personally think it'll be tough to separate the feature upgrades from the patches. Sounds like the method Microsoft tried awhile back, then started combining them again recently. HPTuners needs to pay attention to what people are griping about their competition and do whatever they can to do it right.
I'd buy it tomorrow if they offered a competitive upgrade to my LS1-Edit license. OK, let me clear that up. If the 98 F-body version was released, I'd buy it tomorrow under those circumstances

Comcast pays Directv customers 400.00 for dumping the dish. How is that any different? The dish hardware is USELESS to Comcast also what would they have to gain in doing that?
A Larger footprint. Cheaper prices and the list goes on

HP Tuners - won't have a continued income stream from the buyer. And the buyers market is small.

The other thing you buy is word-of-mouth (if that
is the way you get your most effective sales pull)
from a more knowledgeable set of fresh users. It
could be worth it, or not. Everybody has some free
business advice to give, and most of it is worth the
price

Comp Upgrades are very little to zero revenue.
They need every sale they can get to offset start up costs and R&D. That is why a superior product, in a limited mature market, has a greater chance of success for a new company - sales of the product to all potential users, including users of a competitors product. Me Too (generics) products usually fail or flounder in mature limited/narrow markets. FWIW.

trust me theres plenty of more folks making ls1/gm ecm edit programs as we speak, and some of them aren't interested in vin or year locking.. more like open source.
*burp*. Make the money now, or you'll be facing some stiff competition..

I decided to buy HP Tuners even though there isn't a trade-in for LS1Edit.
After playing with it for a while last night, all I'll say is they don't need to offer a trade-in. It's worth every penny and offers a lot for the price. When you consider what's coming in the next release, it's a steal.
I'm sure EFILive will release a great product but they'll have some stiff competition from HP Tuners.
