Default Failed to install HP tuners

When I try to install HP tuners, the error message says... VCM Suite 2 requires the .NET Framework version 1.1. please install the .NET Framework and run this setup again.

Next screen says... The wizard was interrupted before HP Tuners VCM Suite 2.1.14 could be completely installed. Your system has not been mofified. To complete installation at another time, please run setup again.

Any help with this?

GO here and install the framework 1.1

http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downl...ils.aspx?id=26

The newest HPT requires framework 4.0

Try right clicking on the install .exe file and try "Run as Administrator". Sometimes that helps with goofy issues like that. What OS are you running?

Also look at "compatibility mode" if you're on a newer
OS. I've run into the same thing but following the
instructions in detail got me through it. You might
want to uninstall any previous .net installations too,
and go at it from scratch.

OS is windows vista... i will try and uninstall everything and try again. On my computer I am logged in as administrator so I don't know how to run the file that way... same with compatability mode??

I followed the instructions for windows vista 64bit... I may send HP tuners an email and see if there is a special way to install it. The HP Tuners was purchased from a friend who had bought it 5 years ago so im sure its outdated.

One word...vista. Theres a reason it took some 7 years in between XP & vista but then only a year and months between vista & win 7. Maybe try using windows automatic updates to get net framework up to date. Win 7 comes with net 4.0 out of the box if I'm not mistaken which is the reason we updated.

Upgraded to windows 7 ultimate. Downloaded HP Tuners again and seems to have worked... Now I just get to the point where it asks me for an application key which I don't have. It says log on to HP Tuners account to find it, which I did but I don't know where to look to find it???

Default tuning experts

Is this how an untuned 2001 LS1 should look with just headers and exhaust or is something going on here?
