TCM delete, TH400 swap in C6
Hi,
We have a car with a TH400 swap in a C6 -06 aut and i need help to get it ready for the dyno.
It won´t rev over 3000 rpm. Customer has the TCM connected to get the Engine to start. What do i need to do to make it work as a manual car?
Remove TCM and mount a jumper Cable? Resistors?
I have a manual tune file i can write, but it´s not possible when it finds the tcm.

If you have Tunercat you just select ECM when you program it. You can choose ECM, TCM, or both. I just did a blown 427" 2012 Camaro that was originally an A6 car, with a T400. If your using hpt you may be able to just unplug the TCM to get it to go. Never tried that. You may discover new lights on the dash. :-)
I kept the TCM when I went manual (2007 LS4 with E67). It has resistors for the shift solenoids, TCC and fluid temp, and the 4 wires from the range switch hard wired for D4 all the time, also wired up an actual pressure solenoid. It would still show a couple of codes (ISS sensor & not in P/N at start), but then I had a guy with TunerCat disable every TCM code (HP Tuners didn't have access to them).
Runs/drives DTC free now and I can flash it with HP Tuners. I have a spread sheet with exatly what I did to keep the T42 TCM wired up if that would help.

We do them all the time for engine swaps in old cars. You need to flash the ECM to a manual and it will not look for the TCM but you will need a speed sensor. Thats how we have done the engine swap cars atleast. It may be a little different with a standalone harness vs in actual factory car.
