BCM programing (whitebird00)

BCM programing (whitebird00) I googled wether programming is needed or if it can be a diy and this forum came up. I saw in a thread that a member named bluebird00 said that the bcm does not need any special programming or "flashing". Its just the bcm needs to learn the key that is put into the ignition switch and also the transmitter needs to be reprogramed. Is this true that it is not necessary to need to go to a dealer to get it flashed (local chevy is charging $230 JUST for installing and "flashing").
Now I have a 2004 chevy impala 3.4l and I know this is the wrong forum but I understand that these cars are similarly built. Please I need help this is my only form of transportation to work and school and I really dont have $230 to spend on just installing with the bcm being another $130 on amazon.

Why do you need to flash the bcm? My experience with these cars is that the ing switch goes bad. Normally when I run in to one of these with no start issues I go to the U Pull It and grab the ing switch, the PCM, the bcm, and the radio and put them in as a set. If you scan the car the wrong in will come yp but I don't live in an emissions area.

Send me an email through the forum with your email address, I'll try to send you the program instructions from the .GM manual, but as I remember it you just install it and it learns the in and key code by itself when you power it up.

I dont know anywhere but the dealer that has a tech 2 scan tool and they are charging an arm and a leg to repgrogram the bcm for me.

Hello bcm reprogram i have a 2010 Camaro SS v8 and installed a new bcm with my launch tablet X program but the car doesn’t start with my key. How do I fix this?
