I haven't looked at the tune.. But are you still on a 1 bar factory map sensor? if so you need to upgrade to a 2 or 3 bar. Also im assuming this is the 2001 0411 pcm, if so you need to do a custom operating system to run so you can have positive pressure tables added to the pcm for boost.

If running the car without both of those things will be a disaster.

just curious why i would need a 2 bar map if a 1 bar is good for 14.7psi and im only boosting about 7psi? also ive never heard of anyone having to make a custom operating system. please explain.

ive built 3 boosted cars and never had an issue with needing a custom system. of course they were turbo but its pretty much the same.

ive just never set up a open loop speed density tune.

im new at this but believe that atmospheric pressure us 14.7 ie one bar to go above that it need to be 2bar to go to say 30lb witch is actually only 14lb over atmospheric pressure.

1 bar is 14.7 Absolute or also known as Atmosphere. to add 7psi on top would mean you need a 2 bar. please see my picture related to this.
as you can see 7.3psi is actually 22psi absolute. So yes you do need a 2 bar if you dont wanna blow this thing apart.

As for custom operating systems, the 0411 PCM's load can only go to 105KPA. you need a COS to go beyond 105KPA for boost. This is referring to EFILive but i would imagine HP tuners also has their own word for COS.

All in all you need a map sensor and a software to correctly scale the sensor and tune the car.

so i found these steps on hptuners website that someone posted. going to try them out and see if thatll work. ordering a 2 bar map here soon.

- multiply Primary VE by 1.15, ( I don’t have secondary VE)
- set “DFCO” to 284˚F ( and I have stall RPM to 925)
- set EQ vs RPM table to 1.13
- set PE table to 1
- set STFT open loop to Disable
- set TFT to Enable
- min ECT to149˚F and Max ECT to 284˚F
- set “closed loop Enable coolant Temp vs. IAT” to 284˚F
- set COT to Disable
- copied high octane table to low octane table
- set MAF fr. To 0

I am unsure how HP Tuners does it, EFI Live doesn't use the credit system on Operating Systems they are free.

You can force open loop speed density the way it is now, but you will be stuck to 1 bar and the factory 105kpa operating system. So yes you could get it running and drive-able to get the car to who is doing the tuning.
