A car will not start after a mail order tune for 2 reasons:

1- The VIN was changed and the BCM will think the PCM was changed
2- The OS was changed

In both cases a VATS relearn will make the car start again.

Meanwhile lets all guess what kind of car. Seriously do people really think they are all the same and what might apply to one will apply to all? I guess they do because it sure happens a lot. Ask for help and not one mention of what the vehicle is.

Not always. Depends on what kind of VATS.

Because mail order tunes suck. You need a dyno tune. How can the tuner know everything exact about how your car is running without literally being hooked up to it

Problem solved...after driving down to ecs today to have it looked at and telling me it was fine i reinstalled in car...just as i thought it didnt run. Brought the pcm to chuck at corvettes of westchester and realized the tune was not for my f body but a vette...mainly it was programmed for an electronic throttle body. Anyways thanks chuck for helping me out and looking foward to a tune.

Of course not always, but my crystal ball is not working and I'm tired of asking what car are we talking about

Regardless I was right, the issue was solved with the correct tune
