C5 ECM same as F-body?
I have a 240sx lq4 swap that I'm working on. I just bought an older AEM plug and play stand alone to use for tuning. I'm wanting to know if I can plug this ecm into a c5 to make sure the ecm is good cause my car won't be finished for a few weeks? The paperwork says it works on 99 and up camaro and trans am but says nothing about corvettes.

So would it be safe to plug this one in? I guess the biggest thing is that the pinout is the same. I just need to be able to read the injectors and what not, I'm not gonna attempt to start the car or anything.

Corvettes have three different controllers and all are wired a bit differently.
The 1997 / 1998 PCMs are the oddballs and look different, the rest have more support.
- The 1997 / 1998 cars used one.
- 1999 through 2002 cars used a second (the infamous "411" P01) controller with red and blue connectors
- 2003 and 2004 cars used a similar looking (P59) controller with blue and green connectors.
The 1997 / 1998 PCMs are the oddballs and look different, the rest have more support.
