Default Need help with Hp tuner scan (unable to create log)

Hey guys I'm new to the tuning world. My truck is a 2001 2500hd is has be previously tuned. I just got a hp tuner pro. So far I hooked it to truck and read all on the editor and it asked to use 2 credits so I did. It did it's thing and asked to save. Is the tune that he put in my truck on my computer now ?

Next I go to the scanner and press the lightning bolt it starts to connect then stops and gives me a message of unable to create log. No vehicle info is listed at top either. What am I doing wrong ?

It should be. Open the file to confirm.

Is the ignition switched on? If you connected successfully for the editor I don't know why it wouldn't connect on the scanner. It is likely something simple (like the key being off).

OK, one thing wrong is having multiple user IDs on this site.
You'll probably be hearing from someone about that.

I have never seen that kind of error about not creating a
log. I wonder if this is a munged install or missing some
thing it needs. Have you tried to get help from support@?

That was probably just a poor attempt at quoting.

Well, uninstalling dotNet, drivers and the main program
and doing a clean install by the numbers is a good thing
to try in the absence of better advice.

Right click and run as administrator. Sounds like you have a file permissions issue.
