Default Re tune after fast 92 and fast tb install?

I'm planning on installing the fast 92 and fast 92 TB. I Currently have a stock ported TB and stock ls1 intake with cam and ARH (all mods in sig). My question is do I need to get a re tune or would it be a waste of money?

Yes retune is a must since more air will be taken in by the TB and intake, other wise your computer will read only the stock 78mm (don't quote me the size) this will optimize your hp gains.

Ok, thanks for the advice. I'll post up some number comparison after the re tune.

You'll need to retune as your idle will be a bit wonky too with the larger throttle body.

Thanks. What's your guess on gains? Hp and mph in 1/4 mile.

over the stock ls1 intake your butt dyno is going to be very happy, from around 3000rpm up it's going to feel like a different car (or at least mine did)

Thank god. I'm hoping to gain a decent amount of mph in the 1/4 mile. If I can crack 11s then I may even skip doing the heads.

Picked up the parts tonight. Man they are beautiful! FAST really does an amazing job on parts and packaging. Can't wait to see the results.

Man you weren't kidding. Feels like a new car. Definitely spins the nt555s now lol.

Does the ses light normally come on after changing to a different tb and intake? That's my case now. Haven't had the car tuned yet...

I had a stock converter at the time with a 230/224 cam. It wouldn't spin a tire from a dead stop but after the Fast install it would start to break loose at the top of first gear or on a 2-1 downshift. (don't put a cam in a stock converter car kids...it's stupid)

Can you get the codes checked to see what's causing the light?

Sure, I'll get it scanned today and post them up.

The ses light went out. Getting a re tune Friday. Most likely running too lean now. I did notice some lite grey smoke that I didn't have before...
