Still cant log wideband thru EGR????
Been messing with this for a over a year, trying to get my AEM Wideband to log thru the EGR Port in HP Tuner. WHERE is the option under General / Engine to verify the EGR is enabled????????? Its wired up correctly, the displays pull up but it doesnt read it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, that's the way we have it set up.
We're thinking that the erg has been disabled in the tune. This car has been tuned by 3 different people over the years, one of these might have disabled the erg. Going to get in the tune file and see. We are still very new to this hp tuner.
If we can't get it to read through the EGR we'll try the A/C. I'm pretty sure the A/C is not disabled.
I log all my runs, just can't get the afr to log.
This is a track car only.
Thanks again.

I just hooked up my fuel pressure sender through the EGR a couple of weekends ago. I couldn't get the PCM to report any EGR pintle position voltage until I re-enabled the generic EGR 'Enabled' option shown in Engine > General. Once I could log the pintle position the custom PID worked great.

One more question I do believe this is the information my wife gave me yesterday. I have to hook the Tuner up to the car and go into the Editor to tell if it is enabled or disabled correct? Changing this option should not affect the tune in the car will it? Engine / General is located under the Edit / View / Advanced View option right? Thanks in advance again.

The option is located under Engine > General, ensure "EGR Enabled" field is set to "Enabled". It shows up regardless of the View setting. It won't affect anything else in the calibration... I left my EGR codes in their prior state.
If you've already downloaded the current calibration from the vehicle, you can review the current setting without being connected to the car. Once you make the change, save it, and then connect to the car at a convenient time to write the new calibration. If you haven't already read the current calibration, you'll need to have the HPT adapter connected to both the car and computer to grab the calibration file, then check the current state of the field, modify the field, save it to disk if desired, and write the calibration back to the car.

When I went in to enable it and changed it over it was highlighted in red and then when I went to flash it to make the changes the options are greyed out is there a step I am missing I followed a tutorial exactly? It will let me save the file to my desktop but when you go back into it it is still disabled. And I checked the EGR Spark Table it is all zeros so I think I am good on that. Thanks

Fields with changes that you haven't saved to disk are highlighted in red. If you save it to disk, the fields change back to the default blue color. Not sure why the field isn't saving... are you saving over the original filename or to a new filename? Are you opening the correct filename? Can you attach a copy of the tune to your next post?
The Flash menu option typically used to write the calibration to the car is 'Write Calibration Only', although 'Write Entire' is also available, even when disconnected from the HPTuners interface. Are you saying those two options are grayed out in the Flash menu? What version of HPTuners are you using? I found this link on the HPTuners support forum regarding a similar concern with the options being grayed out. You might need to e-mail them, support@hptuners.com.
