Unhappy 98 0411 PCM Swap - Wont start

Swapped to a 0411 today. I was told it was out of a truck originally.
Used this for the repin.

http://mrk-motorsports.com/pdf/1998%...1999%20PCM.pdf

Cant get the car to start now though.

Double checked the pins and everything looks good. I plan to take it to get tuned next week but was hoping to drive it there. Is there something I'm missing? Is it just a matter of it has to be tuned before it will start or is the pin conversion different because this was out of a truck and not an fbody?

Thanks for any help you can give on this.

Default 98 0411 PCM Swap - Wont start

You havt to diagnose...

is Vehichle Anti Theft disabling the start...?

are injectors and spark plugs firing...?

does scantool show rpms...?

does scantool show sane values for sensors...?

what calibration has been flashed into 0411...?

are IFR, VE, MAF tables correct for your engine...?

Are you trying to start it with a truck calibration still in the PCM? Sounds like it. If so there will be many things wrong, the biggest issue being the truck cal uses Serial VATS, not PWM VATS. Not to mention injector size, cyl vol, etc...

I am. Was hoping to get it running enough to drive to the tuner. I guess my question now is, if I get it towed over there will he be able to get it running? Sorry I don't know much about the whole tuning process. Will he be able to just write in a camaro cal and OS to tune it or does it need to be sent out to get that installed before he can tune it? He's using HP tuners by the way if that helps any.

Thanks for your help. You guys are awesome.

In my experimentation with trying different VATS settings on the 411, the engine fires but dies after 2 seconds. With VATS it then stays running.

OP: Does it fire at all? Do you have a scanner or can you borrow one to confirm basics such as RPM while cranking?
Your tuner may or not have the ability/patience to debug a wiring problem.

It does not fire at all. I have a laptop with a scanning program hooked up to the OBDII but didn't think to look at the RPM since it didn't fire.
Wiring issue is what I'm worried about as well. Don't want to get it there and have it not just be the PCM.

Is there anything else that I have to change other than what was listed on the conversion sheet?

Good news everyone!!! found 2 recessed pins on the C2 connector. All is well now. car starts and then shuts off with the security light on. Thanks for all of your help. I feel much better taking it to the tuner now. Hopefully I can report back with some good numbers!

One was C2 Red pin 46 - MIL Control

I can't remember what the other one was though.
