Default E38 open loop at idle

I want to know if theres another way to make my e38 go to OL at idle? I have been zeroing out the PE throttle percentages up to 1000rpm, this make it go into open loop at idle but it creates others issues, so i want to leave the PE throttle percentage populated with numbers upto 1000 but make it go into open loop at idle cause it idles so much smoother with o2's not triming at idle...TIA

By zero do you mean 0.00 or 1.00?

If you want no closed loop feedback control... unplug your oxygen sensors

Ok, you're talking about the tps threshold. Sorry, it was a long day. What do you have the eq ratio set at or those rpms? What other issues are you referring to?

Yep. Then as soon as you go off idle you plug em back in and clear the codes. Don't forget to unplug them again when you stop.

he said,

and I give a valid solution. I thought maybe he wants to diagnose something? I run my car open loop 24/7 because I have 24/7 access to the fuel/timing map. If he mentioned that he needs to go back to closed loop automatically, I would have provided a different solution (more complicated solution) but since I am trying to keep it simple and short as possible I go for the best cheapest shortest route.

I want to run openloop at idle cause if o2's are turned at idle the idle is to rough for my liking, but in open loop it its quite smooth, closed loop works fine above 1100rpm, just want to know if theres another way to go into OL at idle but automatically go back into CL after 1100, ive zero'd out the tps/rpm table upto 1000, i just want to know if theres another way to do it? Thanks

If you have closed loop idle issues, you likely have tune setting issues that you don't have the knowledge to adjust/tweak.

O2's just simply dont work properly with camshafts that have low manifold vacuum and raw fuel going out the exhaust
