help with microsquirt please ! ok so im at the point where im ready to start my chevelle up . I bought a lsx modified microsquirt v3 from efi source . I had the harness made by Shannon taylor out of tn so I know the harness is fine. I downloaded ms lite on my computer I went to start a new project with the laptop and it cannot establish a connection with it , it just keeps telling me to check my connections ( im using the usb conversion cord recommended to me by Shannon) im a newbie with computer tuning and was recommended this system for ease of use compared to other systems and at this point I have no idea what to do . any help would be greatly appreciated

I have never used the Lite version of the software but I know the USB converters are very finicky. They are likely the culprit of not being able to connect. Make sure you have the proper driver installed on your computer for the adapter.

I sent aknovaman a message, cant get it to fire now. and im lost . however it will connect now that I made sure the driver is correct. plus the coils make a high frequency buzz when I switch the key to the on position

His tune was whacked as well as the harness needed some repairs from poor assembly. I tested it on my engine run stand and it works fine now. OP may post results after he gets it on his car. He is out of pocket for a few weeks.
