Default P0102 in 05 cts v

I got an 05 cts v it was dyno tuned here in town when the previous owner had it. I cleaned the k&n filter and the code popped up (p0102). I thought i over oiled the filter so to make sure that never happened again I changed to an amsoil filter and cleaned the MAF sensor with the crc MAF sensor cleaner. At idle it drops rpms to where it sometimes stalls, while driving it cuts power periodicly mostly below 2000 rpms. I checked for air getting in any where even went as far as smoke testing and i didnt see any smoke coming from anywhere. Changed maf with new one and it just made the symptoms worse. Talked to the guy who tuned it and he said that he doesnt know wouldnt even look at it. Said that the previous owner who installed the throtle body (tpis 92mm) is to big for a stock ls6, said it has been a problem from day one. Car ran fine till filter was cleaned. Do yall have any ideas. And yes i did do a search on here.

3 probabilities. Underhood fuse box, Eng Mod/MAF fuse is blown, wiring problem with MAF, or it is tuned in SD mode and MAF is failed on purpose so PCM will run in SD mode. Check for +12v between pink and black wires on MAF with key on.

Fuse is not blown, talked to the guy who tuned it and he said it was not tuned in sd mode. And wiring looks fine. The tuner said that getting to much air across the MAF sensor will cause it to throw that code. He pretty much told me to live it. Does this sound right? Doesnt seem right to me

Your tuner is not very smart. That condition will set P0101 MAF performance. Did you put a volt meter across the pink and black wire in the MAF plug and check for +12v? P0102 is MAF output Low. Almost always the MAF signal is outputting 0 hz when it sets that code.

I have not put a volt meter across it. I will today. I gotta go back home to Texas in a couple weeks for a visit I guess i will tow it to texas speed and performance they are in my home town. It is just weird that this code came about after I cleaned the air filter then I got rid if the oil filter and cleaned the maf and now it isnt fixxed you know

So tonight driving home from work I accidentally hit the rear window switch to roll up my window and it made the car cut out, i did it several more times and each time it made it cut out. At idle it makes the car surge. Do you think maybe it could be a charging system issue?

Sounds like a ground issue. Possibly a charging problem but I would take a hard look at all your motor and chassis grounds.

Well i figured it out while i was looking for loose grounds the MAP sensor wasnt pushed into the intake all the way. So i guess when the po put the intake on it he didnt get it in all the way. Took it for a drive and not a single problem. Runs great doesnt even have a pending code anymore. Man was that weird
