Default 3bar upgrade.

So the ecu in my Camaro is out of an 03 Tahoe and it has no 3bar upgrade available, only 2bar. I found a stock 03 Tahoe tune in the repository and it has 3 bar capability. My question is I've heard that if I license this tune from the repository that there could be some issues like vin/Os mis-match. Help me out guys how do I do this!!

I also need to segment swap for 4l80e so not sure where that fits into this mess.

Not sure lol. Plugged in the laptop and it wouldn't let me read the tune tried to rewrite it and it still wouldn't work. Oh well I'll go get another ecu this week. This time I'll make sure I get one with a 3bar enhancement available.

If you have buy a new PCM and have to license a new OS anyway...go with a P59 PCM. Its a plug in play with your harness, offers 3 bar enhacement, and flex fuel. Just get an OS from an 03+ express van, should already have the 80e trans in it. Just segment swap the fuel gauge, and you are in. If you are using a 3.0 or greater version of HP tuners, you can segment swap yourself.

Just my unwanted opinion.

Thanks for the heads up. I do want to change to a p59 just would prefer to get this thing running and all sorted before I add another point of complexity.

Save yourself the credits and do it now. I just completed a swap on a 1998. Its no different with the tune. You still have to adjust the same settings.

An 03 Tahoe PCM would be a P59 and drive by wire. Blue/Green connectors. Are you sure you know what you have. Perhaps that is why you bricked your PCM.

Yup.

MY_2K....Check the service# and hardware# on the PCM. Do some research around here and everything you need info wise is here. P59 is good, think about it, to have a 3bar, flex fuel vehicle is rad. Especially if you plan on running pump gas E85. It would be nice if your tune adjusted according to the true ethanol ratio.
