Tired of half *** tuners I've spent good hard earned money for tuning my s10 the first 3 trips to the dyno every time the end result was ( it's got a safe tune in it to idle it around the garage till u get this part this part and this part bought and put on. I've never been able to drive my truck since the turbo swap to the s475 because he knew I was planning on adding more parts and it's like he didn't want to fine tune it but once?? Am I being a dick by thinking that he could tune it good for what it is then do it again and again as long as I'm paying for dyno time why does it matter. If anyone near North Carolina knows someone that will street tune my truck I will pay u for your time. I am tired of 5 hour drive and not once being totally happy with the way it runs

That sucks for sure but the tuner is there to tune not wrench on your vehicle. If your not finished with the build or going to be add/switching out parts why would you pay for a full tune.
I was told the same thing by a tuner(street tune). "Here is your **** wastegate spring only idles low 800's" put some miles on it(break in) get the bugs worked out then come back for a full tune.

Like most I kept coming up with changes during my build.I did it all 100% myself so when I got it running and was ready for a tune I asked him to not worry about any kinda numbers just keep it alive because I would like to enjoy this money I spent for a long time and I'm not very wealth I'm a welder so not deep pockets. I asked him if he thought methanol was a good idea and if he could tell me.what kit he prefers to tune I would buy that one to keep it simple and when he found out I was gonna add methanol as I could afford it and then at some point upgrade my Chinese turbo to a good one it's never been fully tunedeveloped since then. He has never had to wrench on my truck plugs only and I do 6 to his 2 I bring my own tools and a friend to help me with anything he requests but I just wanted to be able to enjoy driving it even if it was 400 hp make it a well tuned 400 and we can make changes as I save money I pay for the tune why not receive one worth a **** and it's a well known shop around here not slinging mud so I'll leave the name out of it just want to enjoy my project

For someone who just got done saying how he wasn't rich, I doubt this is a good option. Their kit with the trans harness is a little over $1400. He could have it tuned, over, over and over again easily, or just by HP Tuners and read.
But, I dont know what he's paying for tunes, but it adds up fast and there's no end in sight especially with a forced induction deal where changes are always being made to the tune-up (more boost, water injection, etc etc). At some point I think it would be wise to cut your loses and move on.
HP tuners is like 600.00, doesnt have a wideband I believe, and has a steep learning curve. Holley is plug and play basically.
