MAF not failing on p59 3 bar SD tune--HP tuners
so i'm trying to do a first fire on a turbo fox build.
it fires up but will only intermittently set p0101, 0102, or 0103 codes after a flash
the WB will read very lean and no matter how much fuel i throw at it, cant get it any richer.
I am used to p01 computer where you set maf fail hz to 0 and be done with it. I have also read p59 computers need to be forced to the VE table by zeroing the MAP lo/hi and the TPS lo/hi in the Airflow>Dynamics>Steady State menu.
I have done so and still it doesnt appear to fail the maf and I cannot affect a fuel change.
things I am certain about:
I have reliable injector data and fuel pressure. Verified FP with a mechanical gauge and I used these injectors (these are my old ones) & data in another build with success.
I do have TPS signal and IAC control.
things I am in the dark about:
I get a MAF signal when running despite having deleted the MAF ( IAT only and apparently functioning correctly) ---no signal at KOEO
Things I must admit:
I could not get this computer to work in my personal rig. it's an '04 gto computer I was playing with 3 bar flex fuel.
I have not inspected the harness for the MAF signal wire C2 Pin 31 to see if it is still present. The computer is mounted in the worst possible spot for removal

What value is in the lowest frequency cell of the maf curve? If it's stupid low, change it to 15 g/sec.
Also, you're logging a maf signal. Is it pretty much one number like 1500 hz? With not much variation?

set the entire values on the MAF to 10 for example. and try it. Usually its the leftmost cell on the maf transfer curve that needs the value. It's not going to SD mode because youre not getting fuel.

so my scanner shows it's logging 0 hz in channels, but i have a gauge in the display that reads in grams/sec and it's stuck on 1.58
my lowest cell (1500 hz) is 12.6 on the airflow vs frequency curve
i'll set them to 10 and report back.
I also noticed max delta airflow set parameter. am i right in thinking that I can just zero the change in airflowand it'll throw a p0101 code?
is a p0101 enough to fail the maf or does it need 0102&0103 as well?

so i changed all the cells in the maf curve to 10 and it worked. sets the codes and fails the maf right away.
i can now control fueling with the VE table.
brandon, i think that makes sense. i think any non zero number under 1500 would work yeah?
anyways, thanks for the help guys! now to button this thing up and turn some tires into vapor
