Can't decide between HPT Std or Pro
Can't decide between HPT Std or Pro I'm going to buy HPT, but can't decide if I should get std or pro.I have no plans on buying a WB02 currently, since I don't have the funds for it. But I'm going to be doing a DOD delete and maybe mild cam swap on my 2010 5.3 Sierra. Am I really in need of the pro over std versions?

I bought the standard when I first bought Hptuner’s. I wish I would have bought the pro in the beginning it just makes using a wideband easier and no matter what you think now you will want to use a wideband. If you decide to switch later it will cost you another $289. It will cost you $150 now.
I 100% agree. If you EVER have ANY thoughts you might tune a car from scratch, or for WOT, get the pro. If the $ is your hurdle, find a used one. Thats what I did. So far, I have had 3 guys buy credits to tweak their tunes. It all goes toward a full vehicle unlock in my case since pretty much everyone I know, runs a truck pcm, so soon, it won't even matter. JMO

I know EFILive you can still.
If you can use serial on the Standard, it's a good way to go.
However, if you want to do any test and tune at the drag strip, the Pro's recording capabilities are good since the laptop is a no-no in the car (unless you hide it/secure it).
