Default p59 flex fuel not reading alcohol content

2004 dbc van OS with flex and 80e licensed to a 2004 gto p59 pcm

all the tables are there and visible, editable

I can add alcohol composition in the scanner channels but it never reads anything

triple checked my pin out. Vout is pin 56 C1 middle is ground, Vcc is 12v keyed. new connector, new sensors (2 now)

and still nothing. immersed in e100, nothing. e15 nothing. e85.....nothing.

here's my tune. i'll paypal 50 bucks to the first guy who solves it.

I'm stumped.

I fought with this on my van pcm. I had to flash it with a factory enabled flex fuel file from a tahoe. I dont beleive the GTO was flex fuel compatabe stock.

The base tune file has to be a factory enabled flex fuel tune. It doesnt matter that the PCM is compatable.

I agree, we always start with a factory flex fuel suburban or tahoe then change what we need to.

I'm unclear. Are you saying I should start with a pcm that has flex, dbc, 80e already license that and I'll be good?

I was under the impression I could flash the flex/dbc/80e OS to any compatible p59 with the IAC driver.

The stock gto tune did have flex tables iirc, they were greyed out though.

Subeone, where are you...you're my only hope! 😄

I thought the same thing as you and could not figure out why i could not get it to work...i even bought a second sensor thinking the first one was bad.

I flashed it with a tune from a tahoe that was a flext fuel vehicle off the show room floor and it worked after that.

I could see all the tables and enable it in the tune on the van pcm but it wasnt actually enabling it.

I have never tried it with a gto pcm, just a truck P59 then I use tis2web to flash in a stock tahoe or suburban flex fuel tune into the pcm. I then read that out in hpt or efi and build the tune. You can just write entire with hpt but I prefer tis2web when changing complete tunes like that.

HPT is missing a few tables. Pic on the left is a FF compatible ECM but no parameters filled. The one on the right is a factory L59 calibration. And below the only 3 tables and master switch with HPT that is visible. I cant download the file for some reason repost it with drop box or something and ill fix it.
