Default tuning a tuned port injection ?????????????????

i recently bought a yj jeep with what the guys says is suppose to be a 383. but only thing i can really see without pulling it apart is it has aluminum heads. this engine runs like ****,
is there anyone out there that can still tune these old dinasours? thanks in advance!!!

or should i just ls swap it!??

Just curious, what is actually used to tune these? Is it the same thing the old Buick guys used back in the day?

moates.net adapter plus a 256 chip, tuner pro rt software and an ebay willem eprom burner

Last time I fiddled with one swore I'd never touch that old ECU again...
Depending on the generation they were basically analog , 1 step up from TBI,,,
The ECU's are so old that the capacitors are drying out.. Refurb can run 400+ dollars
to get a guy who is good enough at that generation of electronics on the job..

I'd run a Microsquirt and never look back..

Have the same issues with my 94 Jeep Wrangler.. ECU is the Jurassic edition and I don't mean the movie.. LOL

MLCCs dont "dry out" and have been used in cars since the late 70's & they are very robust. I don't know what you're doing to your computers but I've never had those kind of problems.
