Pulled my MAF tonight
Pulled my MAF tonight After two long grueling days of fooling around witht he ve table and it not making a difference tonight I pulled the MAf to see what would happen.
Got in the car flashed a file and pulled theMAF and started logging. To my surprise the car drove better and get this the Trims were updating (have log fiels to prove it). For some reason the ve table doesnt seem to affect feuling when changes are beign madeto it. Once the maf was unpluged i saw all the hard work i have been doing go into effect. No ses light was set as yet so we will see and the car doesnt appear to have gone into the low octane tables. I think part of the reason the trims are updating are because of th o2 sensors still being in the loop. Tomorrow i will verify with more information (EFILive) what the car is doing.

I never did figure out if there was a difference between normal LTFT learn and "aggressive" LTFT learn that occurs when the PCM loses power. Mine updated pretty fast for some reason (compared to logs from almost the exact same IAT and coolant temp). I think your temps make a big difference too. I have seen the trims fluctuate a lot when the engine is really hot (like sitting in traffic).

After about 50 or so miles the car will throw a Low voltage input code for the MAF circuit and will try to rip the transmission out when it shifts.....It will shift HARD. 
That is my experience anyway. I think S_J_H had a similiar experience after taking the MAF outta the equation.

M6 here. after the car threw the code on the next start it didnt want to stay running for some reason. I had to keep featherin the gas to keep it a float so i plugged the **** back up and called it a day.

I also had the "didn't want to stay running" problem. Mine was unhooked by accident though 'cause I forgot to plug it back in after working on my intake system.

That's good info thanks for checking that out. I remember gameover mentioning some things about changing thresholds for limp home mode so you can tune mafless in another thread. Maybe he'll chime in here.
