Hp tuner without pro
Hp tuner without pro I have a basic HP Tuner MPVI, wondering if I should use the AC high pressure lead to monitor AFR or if I should find a used MPVI PRO....
Not sure how big of a hassle using the AC wire is?

I have a Innovate MTX-L.so I have a serial port and 2 outputs.
I'd like to have the AFR info displayed thru the HP Scanner software. Pretty sure I'd need to wire the gauge output to an ECM input. I have seen a few posts where folks use the AC pressure wire and configure this pid to report AFR.
Just wanted to hear from some folks on this option versus having MPVI Pro

So I guess I'm curious why anyone would want a PRO and why there are so many write ups to use an existing wire like AC pressure?
We have been using serial widebands since mid 2000's with efi live and last couple years with hp tuners when they released it. We wont even do email or remote tunes any longer with egr or ac connected widebands.
Not all widebands have serial out, the pro also allow you log fuel pressure, bottle pressure or anything 0-5v for the most part. The pro will also unlock other features in the future.

I'm using the AC pressure sensor PID to input the wideband data on my car. I have a single pole, double throw switch wired into the AC pressure wiring that allows it to either function as normal or to become the wideband input. It takes a bit of calculation to get it to work. I have a math parameter set up that will take the voltage signal from the wideband and convert it into AFR, as well as a wideband error configuration that shows how far off things are from the PCM's commanded AFR.
