Default Issue with not going into PE mode

You can see STFT don’t got to 0 during 100% TPS

Delay set to 0

Apparently my post was deleted when I uploaded the pics. In a nutshell, my 2004 gto does not come out of Closed loop when I put the pedal to the floor in neutral. You can see it in the log... TPS at 100% and STFT not going to 0.

This results in a huge stutter/stall if I don’t let off the pedal

a d I know the AFR is lean, it does it with stoich AFR too

You can see the rpms drop at WOT and target A/F never jumps to PE target... A/F climbs lean too

Without seeing the tune or knowing the combo it would be a 100% guess...

Nick,

It’s 2004 gto with ls1 with BTR stage 2 cam, ls6 intake/injectors, full bolt one. Previously had a LS3 in it that ran good. Put the original ls1 back in and am retuning (speed density). What’s odd is that commanded PE A/F is 13.0 in the tune, but from the screen shots I added of the log, the closed loop commanded A/F is constant, even when TPS jumps to 100%. This makes me think it’s a tune thing.

On a side note, I loaded the ls6 injector data, but my VE table is crazy high in order to get decent idle A/F. I will try and post up the tune.

Just be aware that stabbing the throttle at really low RPMs isn't going to make it go into PE right away no matter what you have your delays, etc set to. I've seen PE delay till 1300-1400 rpms or so on these PCMs no matter what, definitely other tables and things going on behind the scenes that we don't have access to in HPT, EFILive, Tunercat, etc. However that should not cause it to stumble when it's tuned properly. If your VE is crazy high in order to get a good idle AFR then it sounds like you have low fuel pressure or your injectors are clogged.

New to the OBDII stuff. I'm more familiar with LT1 stuff, but doesn't it go into PE mode at WOT? Seems like you'd have to tell it to go into PE at a certain throttle position. I don't see that table in the VCM Editor. I know that's how my LT1 worked.

I am in agreement on the fueling issue.

The injectors are suspect... I bought them used from someone on hear overseas with an LS6 intake. Fuel pressure is mid 50’s based on the gauge mounted on the rail. I might slap the LS3 injectors back on and adjust the tune. Even at low rpm (from my experience) STFT drop to 0 and Commanded A/F changes to PE commanded when pedal is stabbed (pushed to 100%).

Attached tune file. Again, this is an initial tune that I had to add fueling via airflow table (speed density), and the numbers are extremely high in order to finally get the A/F to move.

Full stop... P0101, 102, and 103 are set to no error reported it will never fail over correctly into speed density having them set like that, must be set to no mil light. I have no idea how it's even running right now.

Having all those channels like that in your histogram will cause a lag and give you bad data. Not sure why you have the same things listed so many times.

Nick, you solved it. I didn’t want the the check engine light and had it unchecked completely as you mention. Fixed it, and the VE required came right back online. No hesitation when I stab the throttle and and it jumps to the PE commanded A/F. Thanks for the help!
