Default 4l80 Tune issue

Hey guys so I recently 4l80 swapped my 99 camaro from a 4l60. To start I segment swapped my stock tune for the 4l80 and got it to run and drive this way, everything is fine but shift pressures are off and shift points suck. I am not good at tuning by any means, so I had a reputable shop do the rest. The car shifts amazing now but after I got the car home I noticed the converter Is locking in first gear @ 4k RPM which makes the car fall on its face and locking in reverse which makes the car die. I put my old tune back in, and the problem goes away. Normally, I would just take the car back to the shop but it is two hours away and I'm busy with work. Any idea what I should change in the shop tune to fix this? I attached both tunes, Thanks!

Sounds like a mechanical or electrical issue. To my knowledge there aren't any tables available to lock the converter in first gear let alone reverse. I looked over the files and I did not see anything out of the ordinary.

Post 6 has a link to how to tune the trans.

It looks like your tuner changed the tables for the apply speeds.....they were set to 256, why he dropped them I don't know. Anyway, max the first two tables and then tune the lockup in the 4th gear table....

I would definitely agree but as soon as I put my original tune back in, the issue was gone.

I hope this works but I still don't see how its causing it to lock up in 1st gear.

Looked over your tune again and noticed some CELs are different. Some of them refer to the transmission. It might be worth a shot to experiment with changing them.
p0716 and p0717 are turned off on the shop tune
p0740, p0785, p1810, p1860 and p1870 are turned off on your tune

I am curious did the shop use your base tune, or did they take one of your older tunes and segment swap that themselves? Or do you know this info?

That is a good catch. I looked at the files again and the transmission segment ID is different.

So I would start there. Make a duplicate of yours, and put their shift points and pressures ECT in and try that. Not all segment swaps play nice.

I did not notice that, really good point. I forgot to check back here but I am gonna try this tonight and drive it this weekend to see if this helps!

So I did this and made sure I transferred everything. The car is still shifting instantly through the gears when moving at all in Drive, and wont downshift until it almost stalls coming to a complete stop in third gear. Makes no sense, all the settings are exactly the same as the other tune. Starting to hate this segment swap deal.. No issue with the lockup though.
