Speedometer adjustment, HP Tuners. So I changed from a 2:73 gear to 3:42. Speedometer was off obviously. After two adjustments using the method from the video below my speedometer is now spot on. Maybe off by 1mph but close enough. The problem I still have is my trans isn't shifting right. Normal driving the 1-2, 2-3 shifts don't happen until around 2300 rpm. And if I try to do a WOT run it won't shift and is over revving and hitting the rev limiter.
I'm guessing it has to be in the Tran/Rev per mile adjustment. But I'm not sure what exactly I need to do to get it where it needs to be. I followed this guy in the videos instructions to a t. I've got the speedometer working perfectly its just the trans isn't shifting right. Any advice is more than welcome. I'm using HP Tuners.

Normally all you have to do is using Tire/gear wizard, put in your new gear ratio and it will rescale your shift tables.
I don't believe I've ever went to the speedo tab to change something afterwards. That's the whole point of the gear wizard, it does everything for you. At least in my experience.
I have seen if its hitting the limiter and not shifting, you need to lower your RPM and or MPH. I can't remember if the PCM needs to see RPM or MPH first to actually command the shift.

Verdad Gallardo They emailed me back. Because the 97-98 computer is different you have to do it a little differently. I divide my tire height by my gear ratio. Then enter the result in the box. Which for me is 25.7 ÷ 3.42. Which means 7.5. Gonna put that in tonight and see if that fixes it. Ill let ya'll know.

That is what worked. Opened the Wizard and entered 7.51. Hit Adjust and it made the changes. Wrote it to the car and took it out for a drive. Works fine now. So HP Tuners got back to me really quick and gave me the correct info. So thank you to them for good customer service. Thanks guys for trying to help me.
