Default OBD2, oil level?

I have a 2002 engine, red-blue PCM. I know the computer originally sent my oil level warning through the BCM serial to the dash. Does anyone know if this is also in the OBD2 data? I’m doing a dash conversion that uses OBD2 data and I’m wondering if that sensor might be able to be seen by it.

Does anyone have a list of the available parameters in our OBD2 stream (rpm, coolant temp, etc.)?

You will not be able to see oil level through ODB2 with that pcm.

Thank you, and just to be clear, I’m talking about oil level in the pan, not oil pressure. I think I get oil pressure through OBD2 (depends on vehicle/engine).

Yes oil level will NOT work. Oil psi will not work either through odb2 if your using a 2002 OS and a single wire oil psi sending unit

it isn't a true level sensor, in the oil pan, it is low level switch. It turns on when the level is too low

I hooked mine up to a light on dash but it comes on every time i corner, accelerate, or brake hard. On stock vehicles it never comes on unless about 2 qts. low. So how does it get wired on a stock car or truck to keep it from giving false alarms? Does it route through a computer that only turns low oil light on when there is a constant signal from low oil sensor for a predetermined amount of time to prevent false alarms?

That’s good info. I figured out an easy circuit to reverse the signal from a ground break (I think that’s how it originally worked) to a ground applied trigger, so my light would come on when grounded.....but like you said, there is no delay or persistence built into it. I might be worrying about something that simply isn’t going to smoothly work the way I want it. I need to think about my circuit now to see if there is an easy way to require it to be grounded for X amount of time.

Yes thanks for reminding me I had to wire it to a relay with ignition power to reverse the contacts or the light will stay on all the time and go off when oil level low, I ended up disconnecting the light all together because it was constantly flickering on when cornering and driving around. I did install a new sensor thinking the used one was possibly bad but same issue. It would probably work if you had a timed delay of a minute or so to eliminate false alarms, I figured for the extra trouble I can check the dipstick every so often, just would be nice to have it functional. The factory must have it on a timed delay through a computer possibly the bcm? to figure out when its actually low and not just sloshing around.
