C5 Corvette 2002 OS into my 2000 issues
I would like to do a nice SD tune so I can compare to MAF only.
So I licensed a stock A4 2002 tune. Changed all the pertinent cal data to match my current tune. A few tables are different, but no big deal.
I even put my VIN # in so it thinks it's a 2000 Corvette. Which I found out later doesn't matter unless going through emissions.
Fire it up, all is well.
Back out of my driveway, it's downhill. Put it in drive, and no gas pedal. It will go maybe 20mph.
Exactly like it would do if in reduced engine power. But no codes. No warnings.
I know folks with 97/98 cars have put the 2002 OS in with no issues. Mr. Black did it.
Searched the Corvette forum, and others have done this with the 99 and 2000 models. They were stick shift cars though. And of course the posts are old and the members are long gone.
Puzzled to say the least.
I noticed the 02 and 03 files are 12221588 OS. Stick shift the same.
An 01 file is 12202088. Shared with the 01 Z06 as well.
I can only find one 01 auto C5 file online. And even though it says This is a Stock Tune File, it's been mucked with. But not much.
Any of you gurus have any suggestions? I really don't want to burn another 200 credits to try an 01 file with the same results.

Either way I'm not sure why it isn't working for you as I've done this exact same thing quite a bit over the years without issue. The no codes part is really weird as I would think it would at least have something if the throttle was being limited.

unfortunately I don’t know how to tune with it though. 😊
Since Pedal, TAC and BCM are universal for the C5, I thought it would be a snap.
There is one setting I copied over from the 2000 tune that maybe I shouldn’t have.
Under Airflow/Electronic Throttle/ Idle/Min Area.
HPT warns against changing this. I’ll put it back and try again.

Hopefully you find the solution to this Ron.
I started over, changed what I think is a minimum set of items, and still no pedal.
It had a bunch of comm errors as usual when you write a C5, cleared all those. No go.
I have VATS disabled, but it acts like a VATS issue. I didn't try the HPT vats relink, didn't make sense with vats off.
I suppose I could try to change the bare minimum items, but it's far from a stock coupe 5.7
I tell ya, hasn't been a good week for Ron tuning C5's. Hooked up to read a 99 last week, wouldn't complete the read w/o an error. Lit up every warning on the dash etc.....

Same story. No pedal.
Either something odd about my car, or it just doesn't work on the 2000 A4 model.
I'm out $300 trying to do something that is supposed to work.
