LS motor knocking - YouTube

Sounds mechanical, or can it be tuned out.

What was the oil pressure like when doing this? Although it does sound valve train related I'd try to pinpoint just exactly where the sound is coming from. Also I'd inspect the engine oil and cut open the filter and examine the filter element looking for any signs of bearing material. You could also get an oil analysis and that will tell you if it's bearings or not. Anyway that's where I would start.

no broken valve springs. I thought it was bad lifters, installed new ones, oil pressure is 30 at idle raises while revving.

oof. sounds like rod knock to me. I would do a compression test. and look at the oil for metal.

Looks like copper pieces and others in bottom of oil pan.

All the bearing need replaced. So much for not driving it in 14 years, only starting it every month or two.
