Help with my 700r4
Sounds like they fried the trans depending on how you use the car next best step is find a local tranny shop and get them to check it out for you.
A re-branded version of the 700R4, introduced in 1990, with no significant mechanical changes. The "4" indicates four speeds, "L" denotes a longitudinal positioning, and "60" refers to the torque capacity.
An evolution of the 4L60, introduced in 1993. It features electronic shift control, eliminating the need for the TV cable.
It's moot at this point.
4L60, not a 4L60E, was basically a 700R4 with a VSS in it instead of a mechanical Speedo Cable. Only difference I've ever seen.
