Default Help with my 700r4

Need help with my 99 Camaro. I have a 99 Camaro SS 5.7 & it got stolen last week and I retrieved it back and everytime I go ofer 20 MPH the Rpm's jump up but dosnt accelerate. Thought it was in limp mode, I replaced the idle control valve, thermostat sensor, & thermostat. I have a 700R4 and previous owner had it switched from manual to automatic and never had the wiring harness on bottom of transmission hooked up to the pem so it was working manually instead of through the wires.. so it still thinks it's a manual..don't have the funds to buy new transmission and don't trust buying used ones off marketplace. I try to fix things myself before letting other people.but l've never rebuilt a trans before and thinking that's what I might have to do but could use some help on how to do it and which rebuild kit to buy... or a very very cheap place to have it rebuilt...it's my baby and need it up and running. Hooked my scanner up to it and it's said 1-4 skipshift solenoid since I got it running after sitting in my driveway for 5 years. And it's also saying throttle position sensor circuit but I replace the throttle position sensor. Also there was pieces of gasket stuck in my thermostat and pieces in my radiator when I cleaned it out and flushed it and the water pump out and it's not from the oring from the thermostat...

You have a 700r4 and not a 4l60e?? The 700r4 isn't an electronically shifted transmission those use a TV cable to set line pressure and attaches to the throttle cable bracket

700R4 in a 1999 Camaro doesn't sound right. Was this swapped?

Sounds like it's slipping.

Definitely not right 93 was only year for 700R4 everything 94 after 4L60E just an electronic 700R4.

Sounds like they fried the trans depending on how you use the car next best step is find a local tranny shop and get them to check it out for you.

4L60:
A re-branded version of the 700R4, introduced in 1990, with no significant mechanical changes. The "4" indicates four speeds, "L" denotes a longitudinal positioning, and "60" refers to the torque capacity.

An evolution of the 4L60, introduced in 1993. It features electronic shift control, eliminating the need for the TV cable.

This woman has multiple posts here, it's a 1999 Factory T56 car someone hillbilly'd a 700R4 into and she's been chasing numerous issues one after another instead of listening to us when we say set the car up with a 4L60E properly.

It's moot at this point.

No. The "60" means 6000lbs Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW). "80" means 8000lbs. You can figure out the rest.

4L60, not a 4L60E, was basically a 700R4 with a VSS in it instead of a mechanical Speedo Cable. Only difference I've ever seen.

Lol which also refers to torque capacity. So yes. Regardless of whatever you seem to think

As the OP did not respond to many posts here and started additional threads. I am closing this one. It also went off the rails.
