Do you still have the factory computer on board to communicate with the BCM. Or is it, take the whole harness out with computer and replace with big stuff 3. The reason I ask is cause I am doing a swap. Insted of making a harness or buying one for the LQ4. Then buying software to program it and then not a have a versitle enough setup for my turbo project. I would like to have something like big stuff3 to put on there and have a nice super clean install. Besids the fact that its a S-10 with a turbo, intercooler and more pipes then a pluming supply store, just sort of running out of room. $2295 is a pretty good price really considerring what you get. I was thinking of using MS but just don't like the idea of the timing control issues.

PS- does that car have a Lenco? It looks vaguely familiar. I think I saw it at Jobs shop back in 99.

Yes I have heard of that issue too. In fact MightyMouse had that problem long ago! But it isn't a problem with the Gen7 as much as the LS1. I have loged the data on many of my friends stock or moded cars and in every one seen missfires! I realy think it is a LS1 thing truck coils and good wires/pluges can help!
This is why I had a post about the new redesigned LS2 coils.

The BS3 will come with a harness that will plug and play with your LS sensors. You may need to change the MAP sensor plug for a 2,3 or 4 bar map for boost.
I have personally run 1500hp with truck coils.
I have personally run 8800 rpm with N2O and F car coils.
This system will fill all your needs.

i never had a high rpm miss. i would lose spark under high load. this was directly and ONLY related to the POS moroso spark plug wires that i had on my car. the wires were so noisy that they shut down the coils.. something technical like that, ask craig at DFI
my car has now been to 6900rpm at over 800rwhp with it on stock 98 coils and stock wires no problems

Coil charge time in milliseconds is adjustable per RPM, although we use the same numbers for both coils.

BS3 all the way. We run it on the Formula and I will be running it on my CE with the tranny control for my 4L80E. This is by far the best and most adaptable system out there. If you race your car. Get the replay. It is nice not having to take your laptop down the track with you. Plus the amount of inputs in can record is crazy. Check this out. Say you select to record RPM, BOOST, FUEL PRESSURE, TIMING, and TPS. Well lets say a month later your running your car and you notice your voltage is dropping during your pass. Even though you didn't select to record voltage a month ago. You can go back into that replay log and select it now and it will show you what it was. The system automatically records all connected inputs. You just decide what ones you want to see at that point in time.
Plus you will never receive the tech support that you can from BS3 compared to the others. John Meaney loves this stuff and is continuing to make the system better every day.
