I have HP on my desktop(used for editing and saving files) and both laptops(scanner and read/write computers). Can I install this upgrade on all computers. I am getting a "file is corrupted" message when I tried to upgrade my second and third computers(laptops).

I have not seen one single aftermarket ECU that can even come close the the power of a GM PCM.

This is such a huge myth.. GM spends so much and has many hours invested into their PCM's that power millions of vehicles...

Aftermarket ECU's are designed for one thing.. and have a very basic design at that. They cannot compare with the power found inside of a GM PCM.

Hey magnus,
My pc crashed a few weeks ago and I lost my HP forum password to post on your site. I filled out the proper form online and a password was never sent to me. Can "you" help me?

I'd like to give HPT a look. Is there a demo planned for the new version?

I can see that. They really did go out of their way to make it very solid and redundant (thanks for SD mode GM!). If only they could put the same effort into final vehicle quality, then they would really have something.

I cannot get HP Tuners to load on my desktop, it works fine on the laptop. Same operating system(XP), except the Desktop is faster/better. It loads only to the editor then locks up, it does this with 1.5 & 1.6 any tips?

Is your AV software turned off during install? All HPT programs are shutdown? (Scanner, flasher, tuner and help file)

You've installed your base program first right? (the one on the CD then install the update ... I think this is a required step but not 100% sure)

I agree with the power of the stock PCM, If i pulled mine out and replaced it with something else, it would only get replaced with a different type of OEM pcm.

I was just disapointed on the "per vehicle" licensing strategy, that they have bashed so much in the past

Ryan, we do not lock to individual vehicles.. we allow you an unlimited number of vehicles of the vehicle TYPE you purchase.

What would you like to see?

I think he is referring to the 2-3 bar licensing scheme

Ahhh....

The 2bar modification is a rather large and in-depth modification that took quite some time and research to develop. It would be very hard on our part to price it any lower and still be able to continue development with our 3bar and 1bar SD products.
