Even if your update period expired, you should be able to logon and get 1.6. Make sure you're using the right customer ID if you upgraded to the EIO since it comes with a new cable number.

But yeah, between EIO and SD, your near $1,000 with no base tune to start from. ouch.

Don't get me wrong, I can see a considerable charge for 2 and 3-bar (sorry guys), because if you are forced induction, you are already in it up to your savings account. But for us lowely little 1-bar SD people (why do the 98 PCMs have to suck here)...please have mercy upon us.

Correct, which is about 1/2 price compared to an aftermarket ECU.

As for tuning, you will have your calibration nailed down in no time flat with the EIO, aftermaket wideband, AFR % Error Histogram, knock histogram and added copy/paste function between the scanner and editor for these corrections.

We also posted the 98 2 bar will follow shortly.

I love the support and constant improvements that seem to go hand in hand with Hptuner ownership

I purchased my Hptuners VCM suite in Sept '04. If I'm reading everything right , I get the 1.6 upgrade AND the Pro upgrade . Am I correct?

yes but the aftermarket ECUs are still farhead

with only a software change i thought you guys would price it more around the $100 change. Guess you guys figured that your R&D was worth more.
the 3 bar when it is relaeased will only be $200 or less right

you better have 2.0 released before m free update period is over, or else

but anyways i still appricate your efforts and support.
i just have to whine about costs cause im broke.
