Default 98 LS1 Programmers

Has anyone tried out the 98 Fbody programers from Vinci High Performance on their site they say to check the Ls1tech.com?

Not I, but I think you'd do well to look at the difference
between handhelds and laptop-based, broader-coverage
tools. Lots of discussion here on that.

Default Its 1999 and up

Hi

I don't think they make one for a 1998, only 1999 and up. I believe only Hypertech and Superchips make a hand held for a 1998.

What is the cost involved for the program and where in our area can you find it. Were down Fayetteville way. I have been looking at Vinci's line of cam shafts and thats where I came across the tuner. the last SUPECHIPS unit I bought burnt the CPU in the 98 slam up and parked the car for 2 Weeks until Superchips replaced the CPU and the only option I had was fan temp.

Go to VINCIHIGHPERFORMANCE.com and look. Thats the point that no one has set down before and done the math to make a handheld work on a 98. I might go with HP tuners instead now that someone who tunes is close.

Default VINCI for 1998

MRR23

Thats great. I was just about to buy a Superchips but I will wait and get a VINCI. I am glad you are committed to servicing all the 4th gen Camaros. As far as I am concerned it puts you way out front.

Thanks JA

I am in Fayetteville. Where would the cheapest price on the software be found? Also are there any camaro clubs in our area?

mrr23 are you sure that vinci is REALLY going to come out with a programmer for the 98's, or are they just blowing smoke. I called them 3 months ago, and they said they were finishing up testing on a couple of cars and one would be out next month. I called a second time and someone else said they were for sure not comming out with one for the 98's because of not being able to crack certain 98 codes. The predator was also supposed to have a tuner in the works for the 98's a long time ago, and never materialized.

We have 98 tuners in a couple of test cars and are real close to working out all the bugs. Will let you guys know when they are complete and ready to go to the general public. Joe.
