Default where to buy ls1 edit?

i plan on getting a cam and was wondering where the cheapest place ot buy ls1 edit was. I can get it dyno tuned for 350$ but i need to buy edit first. That includes a cold start after sitting all night and a full dyno tune. My dad used this guy on his 383lt4 vette and it runs great.
Or if anyone has any bettter ideas please let me know. thanks.

Do not buy ls1edit.

Check out hptuners or efilive, they are much better packages.

edit is behind the ball big time now adays... HP Tuners and EFI Live are the big dogs now...

Search this forum and you'll find useful posts on both the above mentioned... their websites are listed above...

And having a dyno tune for 350 but you need to buy a 500 dollar software first doesn't sound like a very good deal... any shop that offers to dyno tune a car I would hope would have the software and be familiar w/the software that's being used...

EFIlive uses standerd USB port. All new laptops have the USB type.

I believe HPT will be supporting USB with the release of v2.0

As stated above, I feel inspired to emphasize, go with EFILive or HPTuners.

Personally, I use EFILive and I love it. I have met several others that use HPTuners and they are also very pleased with it.

I'm an ex-EDIT user and would NEVER go back from HPT.

BTW, $350 for a tune + buying your own software is a ripoff. What cam are you getting anyway? If it's not extremely radical, just about anyone can mail order tune it for you for less than $250.

A mailorder or shop tune will get you in the ballpark, but it takes days to tune a car perfectly. I soon will invest in tuning software, wide band O2 reader, and laptop.
