Default using my wideband on another buddies car?? can I just use existing o2 spot??

can I just disconnect his passenger side o2 and use his existing o2 hole??
car goes into open loop when your o2 goes bad...or when you disconnect it... right??

could I just tell teh car to ignore it in teh DTC section and then it would only look at the drivers side one???

just looking for a good way to do teh easy through the door location for the cable to go so I can take it in and out when I want to

just looking for the best way to make my wideband a little more portable... I dont really want to hang it in the tail pipe and find a place to ziptie the lose cable up to ..just so I can run it in through the door

If it's to tune his car, why not just tune it in open loop? If you're trying to check closed-loop operation, then no you can't remove the narrowband. That is, unless you've figured out how to successfully simulate the narrowband output with your wideband. I would be very interested in hearing "how" if you've managed to do that. Unfortunately, my attempts haven't worked out too well. I can't get the LC-1 to switch like the stock NBO2. It just hovers around .450mV.

Either way, I'd suggest checking it in open-loop with the wideband. That way, you know WOT will be ok. Then, get it close enough to tune it in closed loop for part throttle using the stock O2's and STFT's with LTFT's disabled. Just my $0.02.

You can put it in the passanger side. If you try to run it in CL by disabling the codes mine tried to read rich on that side and the wide band reported 16 to 1.

Normally all I do by using that location is to check WOT AFR. Use HP Tuners live functions while driving and turn closed loop and fuel trim learn off.

Thats kind of a backwords method to do it. If somebody wants a full tune with WB i'll have them get a bung welded in, a local shop here does it fairly cheap.

That sucks. You need to know people at the shop before they'll work on it. Then its no problem.
