Computer History Recording?
Ok...have a question regarding the computer. How much history and info does it record? Here is my situation. Maybe you guys can help. My 2000 T/A is having a lot of bottom end noise. A lot. My warranty will cover it if the service dept. finds a problem. If not...i'm stuck w/ about a $700 dollar labor bill. My thinking is to leave the motor running w/ the fans unplugged at my shop. When the motor overheats and ruins....which I'm hoping. What all will the computer record. I know w/ my snap-on brick it will show freeze frame data when the light came on. If I erase the codes and data will it clear everything out of the computer??? Or will there be history still stored on it?

Permanently means stored in non-volatile memory which is not cleared when power is removed.

I know, but there is always that what if factor. I wanna make sure that they find something wrong. It's not the shop it's more the warranty company. Thanks for the info everybody.
