TSP mail order tune
Just wondering if anyone has one of their mail order tunes. I sent mine out Sat. so I should be getting it back sometime this week. The car ran like **** after the cam so hopefully this will help out. Any replies are appreciated!

They tuned for my turbo since I bought the kit from Jason, but was a little disappointed in the tune. Was pig Rich in boost and pulled a ton of timing (way more then it needed to be pulled) Didn't do anything for the trans shifting or anything. Even forgot to raise the speed limiter on the fist go around. Next tune leaned it out a bit, (still to rich..10.8:1) and bumped the speed limiter, but still nothing with the shifting. So I bought EFILive and did it myself. Its Much better now

Well, I've got similar mods as you 2000 BlackTA, actually almost identical except I'm running a Torquer II. I was a little dissappointed with the tune. Idle was rough, cold and hot starts were a bitch. I fixed that myself playing with the tb screw and resetting the TPS sensor. Car still bucks like mad between 1200rpm-1800rpms. Runs pig rich, and shifts like ****. I can't blame the last part on the tune yet since my trans may be going. But it didn't act this way until after the tune. When I get HPT and load up the stock trans tables, I'll let you know (as well as about 5 other guys on this site currently having a similar problem).
I didn't exect the MO tune to be dead on. I'm glad that I have a place to start, and I specifically asked Jason for SAFE tune. That may be why it's so rich right now. Better than blowing stuff up though. Also, Jason is more than willing to retune it until it's right, but I figured it's better for me to spend some cash on learning to tune myself than shipping back and forth.
FWIW, the guys at TSP are great and are always willing to talk to you about your problems. I probably won't ever have a MO tune done ever again though. By anybody, not just TSP.

Just to add, they were great to deal with, but Jason can be hard to get a hold of (he's too damn busy for is own good ). And I'm sure he could have ironed out my tune and was always glad to make changes to it, but I had to send him my pcm every time and I can't be with out my truck for a week at a time. That's why I bit the bullet and got EFILive.

Well, I got my PCM back yesterday. I haven't taken it to the track yet, but it runs a thousand times better than it did before. Doesn't smell like a fuel spill anymore, shifts stronger, and pulls hard al the way through now. I can't complain, now lets see how it does at the track!

Well, I thought I'd give everyone who read this a heads up. I can't blame TSP for my shifting problems. I've reflashed my PCM to stock, and the trans shifts just the same. I'm still glad I'm learning to tune myself, but TSP does good work.
