Default Post your favorite HP Tuners VCM Suite 2.0 Screenshots

Now that VCM Suite 2.0 is out and most of us have had a few days to play with it, lets start a thread posting screenshots of your favorite features/aspects of VCM Suite 2.0.

Lets try to keep the pictures a reasonable size.

I'll start it off.

As a developer, I'm not a big fan of XP Themes. I always found them to be too large and clunky.. so my screenshots may appear old school.

My first screenshot is the splash screen.. compliments of Matt, aka Epic on this forum.

My second screenshot is the easy to use toolbars. I think 2.0 is a heck of a lot easier to navigate than the 1.x setup. I forgot to include a shot of the table editor tool bar though. The histogram toolbar is also pretty neat. I love these tool bars.

My third screenshot is of the colors. With the dynamic color system it is SO easy to see what you have changed as well has how your main file compares to your compare file.

My fourth screenshot is the help files. We have spent a LOT of time on the 2.0 help files. It is a complete reorganization over the 1.x help files. We have added a LOT more content as well. I think they are a lot easier to navigate and use.

I think I'll leave it at that for now. There are a lot more shots I could post but I don't want to get carried away.

I'm sure some of you will add compare log screenies, as well as change log and history logs.

So, lets see what you guys like most about the new VCM Suite 2.0

Everything that you posted I like and more. Here are just a few that I like:

What's so special about this one? It's Ver 2.0, that what!!! Well maybe having all your main tabs right in front of you is something special too.

This is just one of them, everytime you move your mouse arrow over something, it give you a explaination of that table below. That's something you don't see everyday.

This last one is way cool, look at all of those prebuilt Histogram choices.

Other features I like are:

- Compare (works like a charm)
- Note taking section
- Color changes
- Ability to flash right from the editor
- Ease of use
- Great help file

Thank You HP Tuners, Ver 2.0 is now the icing on the tuning cake!

My personal favorite for obvious reasons but now you can hand in your handywork and be acknowledged for it.

The compare feature is obviously a huge part you can even compare vettes up against camaros or what have you. In this case you can see its just the click of a few buttons to see every type of breakdown between the two files and its as easy as a double click to view the entire table.

for the guys that requested a customizable gauge section here ya go...add as many gauges at whatever size & whatever parameter you want...right at your fingertips along with more scanable parameters, more bytes so you can scan more at one time, total control over the histograms the scanner is everything you'd want and then some IMHO

Wow, those XP screenshots look a LOT better than mine!!!!

I'd love to see how other users have their VCM Suite layouts as well.. What kind of editor and scanner window positioning you guys use.. etc... etc..

Sweet! I got a shoutout.

My two favorite things (already shotted) in 2.0 are definitely the descriptions of what things do and the awesome help file. Being a tuning noob, these features are totally essential to me and attract me to learn more rather than just being this guy all the time -> .

I'll have to take some new ones this weekend I love that you can "un-snap" tables from the main frame... I don't know what it is about me... but I love to have tons of screens/tables open (3 monitor desktop) ... so I love being able to unsnap them and drag different tables to different areas of my desktop...

I love the snap in place graphs too (snap 3d/2d top or right) ... and the scanner... I don't even know where to start there! Sooooo many new things!

It's been a long wait but definetly worth it hmmm... dot net is apretty portable foundation as well... things that make you go hmmmm....

The unsnap feature was added because some of our tunershop customers use multiple monitor setups to create their tunes.

For new users there are new settings to hide parameters that are rarely used as to not confuse anyone not to mention the calibration box which I use to hold customer information in so If I have to go back in to modify anything at least I have a heads up on his/her mods or what kind of tune I've put in already.

Heres a shot of the advanced so you can see the difference in how many parameters are shown

I really like the fact that i can compare the same file against itself to track the changes im making as im making them

I knew somebody would say something..

Thats what open headers will do to an O2 sensor without enough extension.

Notice the name of the log is TRACK..
